Aloha E-204 Ohana!
I am Miss Alejandro. I graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education degree with honors for grades K-6. I started my teaching career at Makalapa Elementary for 3 years where I taught one year of Kindergarten and 2 years of 4th grade. I then had the awesome opportunity to open Ho'okele in SY 2015-2016. I continued teaching 4th grade ever since. I'm thrilled to kick off my 7th year of teaching with Miss Carey again. We are looking forward to making this 4th grade year full of fun-filled, meaningful, and memorable learning experiences for you and your child. Please follow our 4th grade journey by joining our class on ClassDojo and staying updated on our class website. We will do our best to update it weekly. Let's have an awesome year!
I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it. -Ant Williams
I am Miss Carey and I am so excited to be working with you this year! I was born and raised in Connecticut. I attended Marist College in New York state where I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology and elementary & special education for grades 1-6. I am a lover of learning, so I decided to stay at Marist and get my Master's degree in educational psychology. Upon graduating from my Master's program I moved to Hawaii! Moving here had been a dream of mine for 3 years after visiting the island through a college course. This will be my third year at Ho'okele, and I couldn't be more excited! I have taught fourth grade here for the past two years, and I am looking forward to co-teaching with Miss Alejandro again! Let's have a great year together!
